Currently working on a massive bootleg that I'll post here when it's done.

Figured I'd update you all on a big project I've got in the works here. I've been planning and putting together a potential tracklist and have started looking for the music. For those wondering, the artist the bootleg focuses on is Chumbawamba. Currently, we're sitting at four "discs" (really just a way of separating the sections) of songs: their early demo material, live performances, songs from their aliases and other related bands, and a miscellaneous collection of hard-to-find songs.

I've also got two potential titles: The Music's Not A Threat and Stop Now, What's That Sound?. Still debating which one is better.

If any readers have any rare Chumba music, send it my way. Thank you.

The Smiles - U.S.S. Felicia EP

"Oh, Felicia, you're the one for me!"

I posted this to YouTube a couple of months back and realized I never posted a download link for it. So, why not post it here, too?

For those who don't know The Smiles (which I assume is most of you), it's a side project of The Van Pelt and Native Nod's Chris Leo. Considered his "best and funniest songs", it's a short, 8 track, 10-minute EP of fun indie pop from the king of spoken word emo. It was released on Colin Clary's label Sudden Shame Records, which also saw releases from Leo's brother Ted's band Chisel.

I got this download through an archive of the Blogged & Quartered blog that was on archive.org since the original post link's dead. I thought for a long time this would be lost media until I found the download in the previously mentioned archive. Hope you guys enjoy this short blast of fun.

it's an icicle - discography (2007-2009)

it's an icicle was a band from Fresno, California, active between 2007 to 2009.

"It's an Icicle formed in early May, 2007 as a two-piece consisting of Manuel Aparicio and David Vaipan. We released our first six song EP, "It's A Bicycle," 17 July, 2008. On the 26th of that month, Kameron Johnson played his first show with us. We immediately began working on new material and on Dec 16, 2008 independently released our first full length, L'Chaim. We toured the west coast, beginning in Los Angeles up to Seattle, Dec 27 through Jan 11. Our last show was 8/11/09" - their last.fm

I don't remember exactly where I downloaded this collection, but it was likely the emo archive discord server. I've had this stored away on my MEGA account for a long time and decided to post it somewhere.

Notes:
- Some of this stuff is available on streaming, though I'm not sure if it's an official upload.
- The First Four EP is dated to 2006, which predates the official formation of the band. I don't know enough about this band, but I'm keeping it as is unless I can find more info.
- I don't have a source for the live shows in the folders. I'd err on the side of being official, but I got nothing.

I still post stuff...just less on here, of course!

This always happens lol. I promise to be more active on a place, am active for a good while, and then I forget again. To be fair, it's not just here, I've also been less active on YouTube as of late. The main place I've been active on in the idea as this blog is archive.org, where I've been posting a bunch of my Soulseek uploads as of late. Here's a selection of my latest uploads, hopefully for your enjoyment.

Fugazi - 14 Songs - A live bootleg released and recorded in 1992. Found out about this one on RYM. Would you believe a bootleg titled very similarly to one of the band's well-known releases would be difficult to find?

Ooh Do I Love You: A Compilation to End Sexual Violence - The beloved emo compilation released in 1996. Featuring songs from Cap'n Jazz, The Promise Ring, Braid, Rainer Maria, The Dismemberment Plan, and many others.

Xtreme Music Sampler - No information whatsoever out there about this release. Found it on Soulseek thanks to the Don Salsa song on it, but I can't find any info out there about the release year. Speaking of which...

Koolaid Moustache in Jonestown - The infamous sole album by Don Salsa featuring future members of Estradasphere released in 1997. Known for being the album with the most genre tags on RYM. This is the full version sourced from the original CD, as the versions on Bandcamp and streaming are incomplete.

Live at the Colony Cafe, Woodstock, NY, 3/22/2025 - To end this list, here's one I actually recorded myself. The opening band for the first show I've been to in two years (Ted Leo!), Nova One really blew me away with their sound. I hadn't heard of them before the show, but I think they're amazing. I also recorded Ted Leo's set, but I've been considering mixing and mastering the show since the sound quality was really all over the place. The reason I didn't do that for the Nova One set was because the sound quality more or less sounds the same throughout.

I'll still upload stuff on here, of course, but if you want more from me, that's where you can find it. Thanks for all the support!

Thursday - Acoustic at Tower Records (Philly 09.25) (2003)

A bootleg I found originally through RYM and then found a download of on Soulseek. Very little info out there, but what little I can parse, this show was likely performed on September 9, 2003, and was in support of War All The Time. There also seems to be a photo from the show with the band, but it might be after the show. Yeah, that's all I got for certain. If anyone knows any other information, reach out or comment below.

Please enjoy.
